EOTech/Unity Tactical Sight & Mount Sets
EOTech is known for its excellent holographic sights and magnifiers, and Unity Tactical is known for its high-performance mounting systems. Now, you can get both at the same time, as the two companies have partnered to offer the HHS UNITY I package. It comes with EOTech’s battle-proven EXPS3-0 holo sight and G33 3X magnifier as well as Unity Tactical’s UNITY FAST FTC OMNI Mount and FAST Optic Riser. Most other magnifier mounts are flip-to-side style, and that can add bulk and interfere with the user’s sight picture when not in use. With the UNITY system, the magnifier is neatly stowed below the optic’s sightline. Install the package on your carbine, and you’ll instantly have a very versatile setup that’s ready for shooting up-close, far out and with or without night vision. It’s available in both black and tan.
MSRP: $1,599
AmeriGlo S&W Bodyguard 2.0 Night Sights
When it comes to modern pocket guns, the Smith & Wesson Bodyguard 2.0 is one of the best around. With a gun this small, adding an optic to it would almost defeat the purpose, so it’s a great candidate for an iron sight upgrade. Thankfully, AmeriGlo has just released a set of Trooper night sights for it. They feature a green tritium LumiGreen outline front sight and a green tritium black outline rear sight. Once installed, you’ll have a greatly improved sight picture regardless of how bright your conditions are.
MSRP: $123
Vortex Venom Enclosed Green Dot
For those who prefer green reticles, Vortex is now offering its Venom Enclosed pistol optic with a green dot option. While designed as a pistol optic, the Venom would be an equally fine choice for a carbine or piggybacked on a scope. Besides the new reticle color, it’s the same great optic as its predecessor. That includes its large viewing window, its motion activation for preserving battery life, and, most importantly, its enclosed aluminum housing that protects the emitter from the elements.
MSRP: $289.99
XS Sights Taurus 66 ACRO Optic Plate
If you have a Taurus 66 Combat revolver and you’ve been wanting to give it a serious red dot, XS Sights has just the solution with its ACRO optic plate. Installation is simple, as the Taurus 66 comes pre-drilled for optic plates, so all you need to do is screw the plate on using what’s included with the kit. Once mounted, it’s ready to accept an Aimpoint ACRO, making it a wheelgun truly fit for a space cowboy.
MSRP: $74.99
ZeroTech Thrive HD Digital Red Dot
ZeroTech’s Thrive HD Digital 1×22 is built to be a hard-use, versatile, compact red dot sight. It features digital brightness controls, auto on/off functionality, and mounts via an Aimpoint Micro footprint. Its 22mm objective lens combined with its crisp, 2-MOA red dot reticle should help with fast target acquisition. It also ships with both high and low Picatinny mounts so you can tailor it to your setup and shooting style, whether you’re mounting it on an AR, PCC, or anything else. It has an advertised battery life of up to 50,000 hours and 10 different brightness settings to choose from.
MSRP: $199
Catalyst Arms Mini-14 Accessory Mounts
While modern guns usually come adorned with rails and mounting points ready to accept a variety of accessories, attaching things like lights and lasers to older platforms can be a challenge. Thankfully, there are some clever companies out there making solutions. If you’ve been wanting to trick out your Ruger Mini-14 or Mini-30, Catalyst Arms has you covered with its Hardpoint and Bomb Rack mounts. The Hardpoint is bolted directly to the gas block with no permanent modification required and adds a section of Picatinny rail beneath the barrel. That can be purchased and used on its own (pictured), or you can use it to mount the Bomb Rack M-Lok rail extension. Either option is an easy way to add some 21st-century accessories to your old Ruger. Both mounts are offered with a gray or black finish.
MSRP: MSRP: $69.96 (Hardpoint); $129.95 (Hardpoint + Bomb Rack)
GPO SetBack Cantilever Mount
Most mounts are designed for traditional riflescopes, and that means they push the optic forward. However, many compact, tactical riflescopes available today need to sit farther back on the rifle to provide proper eye relief. That’s exactly why German Precision Optics has just released the SetBack 3-inch Cantilever Extension Mount. When mounting a scope in the SetBack, it can be positioned up to 3 inches rearward or forward, whatever’s necessary to achieve optimal eye relief. It’s designed for scopes with a 30mm main tube and attaches via Picatinny rail, and its one-piece machined aircraft-grade aluminum construction means that it should be as tough as it is light.
MSRP: $89.99
