CANCON Carolinas 2026: A Lively Low-Decibel Weekend

Here’s a look at just some of the fun that was had at CANCON Carolinas 2026. If you missed it, we hope to see you there next year!

If you want to buy a car, you can test-drive it at a dealership. If you need new clothes, you can try them on at a store. But if you want a suppressor, you usually can’t go hands-on with the model you’re considering until after you’ve already bought it.

CANCON, the world’s largest fully suppressed range day, changes that.

cancon shooting

With two CANCONs per year, one in the West and one in the East, it only takes buying a ticket and driving down to get trigger time behind the largest spread of suppressors available anywhere in the world at a single public event. Every year, we even have attendees fly in from overseas, so if a CANCON is within driving distance of you, consider yourself lucky.

Some folks come to try out cans they’re thinking about purchasing. Others come just to have a fun weekend full of suppressed shooting. Whatever your reason, it’s a guaranteed good time.

If a whole range full of suppressed guns isn’t enough for you, there are also shooting competitions with huge prizes, survival classes, CQB classes and retailers running special deep discounts (some even on suppressors, and you can start the purchasing process right at CANCON thanks to Cerberus LiveScan). Oh yeah, we have a helicopter flying around too, thanks to Maxim Defense! The weekend kicked off with a couple of guys parachuting out of it, no big deal.

Here’s a small peek at what went down in 2026 and what you can expect when we return in 2027!

The Clinton House Plantation

This year’s CANCON East was back at the amazing Clinton House range in Clinton, SC, and it might have been the best one yet! CANCON wouldn’t be the event that it is without the giant, world-class ranges that are willing to accommodate us, so big thanks to The Clinton House Plantation for allowing us to have another great year!

The sprawling range, nestled in a beautiful South Carolina forest, is the perfect place for the dozens of companies in attendance to spread out, set up their lanes, and let people shoot. It helps keep the lines short and moving quickly, too!

VIP Day

If you want everything that CANCON has to offer, you’re going to want to buy a VIP ticket. Not only does it get you an extra day at the event before general admission begins, where the lines are as short as they can be, but you get a VIP bag loaded with awesome goodies as well. This year’s bag included a suppressor from IWI, an AK from Century Arms, a Rarebreed AR trigger, a Mantis training pistol and much, much more!

Going Modular With Wraith Metal Works

This year’s event sponsor was Wraith Metal Works, and they had their very cool new Wraith Modular Suppression System to show off. The system allows you to choose your baffles, configure your stack and create countless builds using a single system.

Wraith showed the system off at CANCON through a competition. Participants were shown a tabletop piled high with baffles of various designs, given an empty tube and instructed to assemble their stack within a time limit. Once completed, users’ designs were screwed onto a rifle, fired, and their sound signature was recorded. Whoever had built the quietist can at the end of the weekend won a free Wraith suppressor!

The ingenious design of the Wraith Modular Suppression System means that you can easily fine-tune a single suppressor for whatever gun, caliber or task at hand you need it for at any given moment, even in the field!

Pros Vs. Joes

While attending CANCON, you have the opportunity to show off your shooting skills and win some awesome prizes. If you have what it takes, that is.

The rules are simple. Check the event schedule, go to the right shooting bay before the competition starts and volunteer to be a Joe. If you can beat one of our Pros in the given challenge, you’ll walk away with an inflated ego and a serious prize (we’re talking guns and suppressors here, not T-shirts).

Barrett 1-Mile Challenge

Another standout event at CANCON is the Barrett 1-Mile Challenge, and it’s exactly what it sounds like. Participants are handed a .50 BMG Barrett rifle (suppressed, of course) and given two attempts per ticket to try and ring a steel plate one mile away. Due to logistical requirements, the Barrett challenge is the only shooting that costs extra at CANCON, but multiple $20 add-on tickets can be ordered while purchasing your standard CANCON entry ticket.

Those who made the impressive shot won not just bragging rights, but a very cool Barrett challenge coin as proof of their feat. It’s not every day that you get to shoot a suppressed .50 BMG, let alone at a mile, but it’s just one of the many exciting experiences available at CANCON!

So Much More!

If you come to CANCON to shoot, amazing suppressors and guns from companies like LMT, Griffin Armament, PTR, Sig Sauer, Maxim Defense, Wraith Metalworks, PWS, and so many more are waiting for you! Not to mention sweet, fun-enhancing accessories like those from AS Designs.

The OFFGRID Basecamp tent is there too, offering classes that will improve your survival and readiness skills.

cqb training

We even have combat veterans hosting hands-on training classes and putting on working K9 demonstrations.

Epic knives, cutting tools, gun accessories and merch are for sale right on site as well.

If you have the chance to make it to CANCON East in South Carolina next year, or CANCON West in Las Vegas on October 23-24 later this year, we’d love to see you there! Get your tickets at canconevent.com!
