First Look: Vortex Crossfire II Red Dots

Vortex Optics has just launched the new and improved Crossfire II red dot line.

The original Crossfire was one of Vortex Optics’ most popular red dots, and the company has just updated the line with four new Crossfire II models. This new generation of optics now has motion activation technology, solar capabilities and other enhanced features not available on its predecessor.

The Vortex Crossfire II is available with either a 2-MOA red dot or a 2-MOA green dot, and either with or without solar capabilities. The solar models draw power from either the sun or the battery as needed via Auto D-Tec technology. Other features include motion activation with a 10-minute auto-shutoff, new flush, snag-free buttons for illumination control, and night vision compatibility thanks to its 12 brightness settings (2 for night vision). It’s also compatible with magnifiers and comes with Vortex’s famous VIP warranty.

Each Vortex Crossfire II will ship with a lower 1/3 co-witness mount, a low mount, a custom tool, a rubber cover, a lens cloth, and a CR2032 battery. MSRPs range from $220 to $250, and the solar red dot option is available in both tan and black. The non-solar red dot and the solar green dot are only available with a black finish.
