“Collect them all!” is how the tag line so often goes. When it comes to Glocks, though, sometimes that just isn't possible.
“The G25 and G28, corresponding to the G19 and G26, are Glock’s .380 models. The .380 lacks the energy to work a locked-breech system, so these are simple blowback pistols. … Why would you want a wimpy .380? Doesn’t matter. Regardless your desire, you can’t own one. They are non-importable, except for LEO, and the few people who have figured one end-around or another have found themselves in hot water, as a result. In the Glock universe, they are like super-models—unattainable and hazardous to try.”—Patrick Sweeney, in his upcoming book, Glock Deconstructed.

GUESS WHERE THEY ARE BEING MADE THESE DAYS?
Does “SMYRNA” sound familiar?
I would ask what model car you drive, cell phone, fridge, TV, etc ….since I am sure you already know even the most USA MADE CHEVY, is 80% MEXICO, ETC…
but if you live in the woods with nothing but RUGERS & SMITHS…then I invite you to the test-range (SHOT SHOW?) to try the USA MADE GLOCKS.
If you think AR/M-16 vs AK-47…and the history behind our country’s CAPITALISTIC SELF INFLICTED INJURY going 223, you will get my nudge at you. NOT A POKE PARDNER!.
When they make a weapon that you can drop in the mud, and not need a BETTY-CROCKER STERILE KITCHEN TO CLEAN IT SO IT WORKS…..I will buy it!
ENTER THE GLOCK & AK.
Although I would RATHER clutch USA MADE GOODS over ANYTHING IMPORTED (Except ISRAELI MADE…I HAVE SEEN THEIR GOODS & TRAINING) I would rather LIVE WITH THE GLOCK then call for a BORE SNAKE to get by parsnickitty 1911 back in action if it jammed.
my 2 cents.
AGAIN…GLocks are slowly being made stateside.
but if you are going to say “WHERE DO THE PROFITS GO?”, I defer to you, and say “guilty as charged”.
“better have a badge a step up from a tin star if you want to get your hands on one in the U.S.” What does this mean? I see an abundance of Glocks in the local gun stores by me.
On the other hand, not too many S&W M&P’s, or similar Ruger models around. Don’t own a single Glock and plan to keep it that way; Made in The USA. Have a Happy 4th of July : )
