Springfield Armory EMP4 Concealed Carry Countour
Springfield’s EMP has been around for a few years, but the spike in interest in concealed carry guns led the company to design an entirely new gun based on the original EMP. Thanks to the new rounded contour and smaller frame, it’s one of the most concealable 1911-framed 9mm pistols available. It comes with three 9-round magazines, an aluminum alloy frame, a 4-inch stainless match-grade barrel, a satin-finish, stainless slide and a low-profile combat rear sight. The front sight includes a fiber optic aim point. ($1,220; Springfield-Armory.com)
It doesn’t matter if you are a fan of revolvers, semi-autos, classic remakes or improvements on existing pistols and revolvers, there was something for every handgunner at the 2017 SHOT Show, the largest firearms and hunting trade show in the world. Not only did manufacturers unveil a wide variety of new models and new configurations of old models, a handful of custom gun makers even introduced guns that are as beautiful as they are functional.
