The new Gun Digest Book of the Revolver by Grant Cunningham is in, and whether you use your revolver for sport, hunting, competition or self-defense, there's something in it for you.
I knew this was good material when I first received the manuscript from Grant, and now that the book is out, it looks like readers agree. Check out what some of the readers at Amazon have to say:
- “This is an excellent book by a first class gunsmith. I am an experienced shooter, but there was enough material in the book that was new to me for it to be a worthwhile purchase. He addresses a lot of issues not found in other books on shooting.”
- “Grant Cunningham has written a most useful catechism of modern revolver doctrine. The photos and text are clear and easy to follow for neophytes and even experienced revolver shooters will absorb sound technique from his teachings. Just a few of his tips are alone worth the price of the book.”
- “The author does a great job of keeping the readers' attention with good humor and fun while at the same time keeping on track with the subject involved. Can't wait to put his advice into practice.”
- “Grant's style is honest, factual, concise and funny. You won't regret having this book in your gun library!”

I am Australian and our current laws make it difficult and time consuming to legally own handguns (even black powder ones), however I am determined to do so despite their efforts to disarm us.
I have a thirst for knowledge in regards to revolvers especially their history and correct use.
I use my revolvers for self-defense. I sold my only semi-auto and am focusing entirely on revolvers. I appreciate their simplicity and reliability. Quoting what others have said, a revolver is an elegant weapon from a more civilized age.
I love the feel of a classic S&W wheel gun. I have 2, but I’m working on #s 3 and 4. Maybe Santa will be nice to me.

Revolvers are as much a part of the handgun scene as they have been since their inception. With the new design and materials technology, they will continue to “ride” with us for the foreseeable future.
