Remington’s CSR, or Concealable Sniper Rifle, was developed, as its name suggests, for quick and easy disassembly into its major components, which can then be discreetly carried or stored. Most of this is due to the gun’s innovative RACS-LW chassis.
The rifle’s lightweight, fully adjustable buttstock folds to the right to reduce length, and the Modular M-Lok handguard, as well as the barrel and suppressor feature a quick-detach (QD) design. This permits the sniper rifle to be easily tucked away, or assembled, in the field.
One of the latest versions of the CSR incorporates a titanium action with a short, 60-degree bolt throw for fast cycling and comes equipped with a 20-inch fluted barrel with a 1:8 twist and 5R rifling. As with previous models of the CSR, this one is chambered in .308 Winchester/7.62 NATO, though Remington states that alternate calibers are likely coming. Some other features include a detachable magazine and a two-position safety.
